This is day seven of our ad audit series where we pull up major pest control companies, look at their Meta ads, and show you exactly what they're doing wrong and what we'd do instead.
Today's company is a legacy pest control brand with over $210 million in revenue and nearly a century in business. They've been around forever, and their marketing shows it.
When we pulled up their ads in the Meta Ad Library, here's what we saw: emotional messaging about "total peace of mind" and "being a step ahead of pests." They had a 5 second video, a jingle clip, and some brand awareness creatives that could belong to any company in any industry.
None of their ads mentioned a specific pest. None of them had a specific offer or pricing. None of them gave anyone a reason to stop scrolling and submit a form. The copy was generic enough that you could swap the logo for a home security company or an insurance brand and nobody would notice the difference.
This is the same pattern we've seen across every single company we've audited in this series. We've now looked at companies representing over $1.5 billion in combined revenue and they all make the same mistakes.
Here's what separates good pest control ads from the generic ones we keep finding:
We used AI to generate five new image ads for this company. Each one was pest specific, had a clear offer, and looked professional enough to run tomorrow. We did the whole thing in under an hour.
This is the exact process we use for our actual clients. The same AI creative system, the same direct response principles, the same pest specific targeting approach.
We sent all five ads to their team along with an email breaking down what we found and what we'd change. Whether they use them or not, the audit content speaks for itself.
Seven audits in and the pattern is undeniable. The biggest pest control companies in America are running the weakest ads. They're relying on brand recognition instead of direct response. They're using generic messaging instead of pest specific creative. And they're leaving leads on the table every single day because of it.
